Vice President, Operations
Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the activities of the business/operations function of the division. Responsible for the overall productivity of performance of all Departments including — Sales, Acquisitions, Recruiting, Agent Development and Property Management. Focus on increasing the companies market share and the establishment and optimization of day-to-day operations within the Company.
Duties Include:
- Reviews and approves adequate plans for the control of planned outputs, budget spending, labor efficiency, material efficiency, engineering effectiveness, customer service, along with personnel utilization.
- Reviews performance against operating plans and standards. Provides reports to subordinates on interpretation of results and approves changes in direction of plans.
- Presents monthly reports on performance as requested by the Chief Executive Officer. Establish and monitor performance-reporting systems.
- Advise management team on key planning issues and make recommendations on important business decisions.
- Set operational and performance goals for each department in area of operations which are aggressive, achievable and tied to long-term goal.
- Monitor department performance against performance goals to ensure that progress is being made.
- Reviews and approves the setting of budgets, forecasting, financial planning; reviews and approves cost control reports, cost estimates, and manpower and facilities requirements forecasts.
- Develops specific short-term and long-term plans and programs, together with supporting budget requests and financial estimates.
- Coordinates and collaborates with other departments of the corporation in establishing and carrying out responsibilities.
- Reviews and assist in approving major projects involving major functional changes within the Department's functional areas.
- Develops plans for new areas of technology that support the mission of the Corporation within Operations.
- Ensure activities comply with organizational requirements for quality management, legal stipulations, and general duty of care.
- Oversee the employees managing the day-to-day operations of the Mobile Home Parks at Orange Blossom Motel & Trailer Park and Casa de Mobile.
- Review monthly reports for the Holt Office Building LLC
- Establishes objectives and procedures governing the performance of assigned activities. Issues specific annual objectives to immediate subordinates and reviews objectives of the Operations management.
- Selects and maintains qualified personnel in all positions reporting directly and recommends compensation for them. Provides orientation and on-the-job training for subordinates and ensure that the authority and responsibility for each position are defined and understood.
- Directs, monitors, and appraises the performance of units immediately reporting and provides the necessary coordination between activities.
- Identifies training needs, initiates development of subordinates, recommends effective personnel action.
- Assist in coordinating operations of 3 sister companies and their operations.
- Consults with all segments of management responsible for policy or action.
- Ensures compliance within all departments.
- Makes recommendations for improving effectiveness of policies and procedures.
F/T Master’s Degree & 3 yrs exp or B.S. (Foreign Equivalent ok) & 5 yrs Post Baccalaureate Progressive Exp. with responsibilities of business development, marketing/sales, budgeting, production control/engineering.
